Lenormand Monthly Forecast - October

Malkiel Rouven Dietrich offers a monthly Lenormand forecast method here:

I decided to try this and drew cards for the month of October from my freshly trimmed Lenormand Oracle (LoScarabeo). There are five rows, one row per week. Some days have an extra card. These are the leftover cards that were added after completing the month, which I wanted more information on.

At a glance, Saturdays are looking good. Sundays not so much, but to be honest on Sundays we do tend to just stay home and hang around doing not much of anything, other than a few chores. Looks like the 13th (Anchor) is a day for chores...and 27th (Rider) will probably be spent online, or perhaps we'll have a visitor.

Tuesday 8th is interesting (Mice+Child) as my timetable has been changed to send me to a different workplace to deal with just the kind of behaviour that combo makes me think of. We'll see how that works out.

I wonder if something is going to come up about Hubster's mum on Friday 11th (Bear + Man). It could just be that he goes to visit her that day.

Thursday 10th, I have an appointment that I must travel to by train, so I don't like the look of Mountain. Must leave in plenty of time, I think. And be prepared to have to sit in the waiting room forever.

I can guess right off the bat that Saturday 12th (Fish + Birds) is certain people 'enabling' me to spend money on decks at the UK Tarot Conference! :)

Let's take a look at near-far aspects. Lady is in the lower right corner. This position in the tableau suggests I have issues that need to be resolved. Well, that's putting it mildly! Cards below me would show things within my control -- notice there are none there -- except Stork, the card of changes. So the Lenormand is saying there's nothing under my control this month but my ability to change myself. Smart aleck. :)  But the Lady card shares the space with the Sun card, and to my right is the Key card, a strong suggestion that things will be looking up, even if most things don't feel particularly under control. The influences directly over my head are Ring, Lilies, and Clover, two positive and one neutral card. Negative cards (Clouds, Coffin, Scythe, Fox, Mountain, Mice, Cross) are all relatively far from me, so it looks like the month will not involve much trouble. The nearest negatives are Clouds and Scythe--confusion I get a lot. Danger, endings or surgery, not so much! But...my big toenail has been troubling me. I've been meaning to go to the doctor, but putting it off because I'm afraid he'll suggest we remove it. I wonder...

1-5 October

So here's my line for this week, just happens to be a Line of Five. Wow, the theme for the week is my home or private life. I have been wondering how much of my home life I should be revealing online. There's also something here about a personal spiritual practice growing stronger because of a gift. I think I know what this may be referring to.

If we look at them as just daily draws, Tuesday is health, Wednesday is possibly recognition at work for something (ha), Thursday focuses on home, Friday I may learn something new in my spiritual practice, and Saturday I will feel happy for some reason. Interesting.

We'll just have to see how this turns out.

  1. Very interesting. I've just started getting to know the Lenormand a little better. Listened to a few video courses and about ready to dig down and practice with the cards. This looks like a great way to get a little feel for them. Thanks for sharing. Let's see if it works. :)

    1. It's a first try at this style of using the cards. I have usually done 3, 5 or 9 card draws. Very traditional. I've tried on Grand Tableau, those are a lot of work. I need to practice those a bit more!

  2. I don't know who you could possibly mean when you mention enabling on Saturday the 12th! ;D Recently, you've been enabling me more than vice versa...
This is an interesting exercise, I think I'll give it a try :)
