And here's the deck. It's not finished yet, but I think it's going to look okay. I feel the need to serenade it.
Celtic Tarot, with super slow drying royal blue pigment ink |
(Cue the music...)
'Three o'clock in the mornin'...
You're still not dry
I started this project
Now I'm wonderin' why
ohhhhh
Blu-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-ue! Oh so inky from you
Why did you get bluuuue...all over...meeee?'
I really like the blue!
ReplyDeletelooks great!
ReplyDeleteI really like how it looks - it'll be worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI spent about an hour this morning shuffling and handling the cards, washing my hands, shuffling and scrambling, wiping at the edges of the cards, buffing at the deck with a dry rag, and now it seems to leave virtually no blue on me even after vigorous riffle and bridge shuffles. It's become about the color of the of names here on this page, rather than the deep royal blue I intended, but that's my fault for not choose a quick drying, better ink, instead of the one I found for £2.50 at the crappy craft shop in my local town centre. I am never colouring the edges of a deck again. But it does look better than it did grungy. :)
