Lebanese Tarot, Mehlinger-Jawlakh 2007 |
The moon was but a chin of gold
A night or two ago
And now she turns her perfect face
Upon the world below.
Her forehead is of amplest blonde
Her cheek like beryl stone
Her eyes unto the summer dew
the likest I have known.
Her lips of amber never part
but what must be the smile
Upon her friend she could bestow
were such her silver will.
And what a privilege to be
But the remotest star!
For certainly her way might pass
Beside your twinkling door.
~Emily Dickinson
beautiful card and lovely poem to go with it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card (I'd never heard of that deck) and wonderful poem! In my Witches Diary it puts this as the Corn Moon, which I think I prefer as I'm not a beer fan. Still, it is an ancient practice, turning grain into alcohol ;D
ReplyDeleteCorn Moon, Wort Moon. Maybe I should call it the Quinoa Moon or the Brown Basmati Rice Moon! :D
